![]() ![]() Overall, the bootcamp gave me a solid foundation in UX basics, but it was the skills I brought from other jobs and experiences that helped me break into the super tough junior market. I did the bootcamp knowing I wouldn’t be using the job guarantee since I didn’t live in a covered city and wasn’t willing to move. Otherwise, you forfeit the job guarantee. When I did it, you had to apply to jobs in at least 2 markets out of a short list they specified (maybe like 8-10 cities?) AND you had to take a job if you were offered one, even if it was like a poorly paid part-time internship. I did it a few years ago, so the job guarantee may have changed since then. If so, will you be able to shed some light on the "6 month job guarantee" and your experience with the program overall? I wanted to see if anyone here made a career change and took the Design Lab UX Bootcamp (or something similar). I ended up choosing to start Foundations with Design Labs since I have absolutely no prior experience in this field. I also tried to compare their UX program with Design Labs. I did some further digging and took the 6 day intro on Careerfoundry. I did some research into UX/UI design and found it intriguing. I hope to someday be able to work from home as well because it's getting ridiculous in healthcare. I found that although it's a stable career and I do feel good helping others, I'm lacking a passion and creative outlet. I'm currently working as a nuclear pharmacist and have been in hospital pharmacy since I graduated about 4-5 years ago. ![]() I know someone asked this already but I wanted to post it as well to see if anyone has any other advice to share. I hope I'm posting this in the right place. ![]()
